White glove moving in Burlington

Yugo moves homes and businesses across Burlington, about 45 minutes from downtown Toronto: lakeshore homes, downtown condos, and properties in the hills of the Niagara Escarpment.

Some moves start on long drives and country roads in the north of the city. Each one is planned before the day, from where the truck will stand to how the larger pieces travel.

Before the day

Moving in Burlington: what we plan for

Condo buildings

Downtown Burlington has a growing number of towers near the lake, with more under construction and proposed. Most buildings ask for an elevator booking, a deposit and a certificate of insurance before move day. We send the certificate at no charge and book the elevator where your quote says so.

Lakeshore and escarpment homes

Some of the city's largest homes are on Lakeshore Road, and others sit on large lots in the escarpment hills of Tyandaga and rural Burlington. We check driveway length, gates and turning room before the day, and size the vehicle to the property.

Parking and timing

Street parking is limited to five hours, and not allowed from 1 a.m. to 6 a.m. unless signed. A disposal bin on a city road or boulevard needs a City permit, applied for at least five working days ahead. We use the driveway where we can and plan the day inside the limit.
