Can the moving truck park on the street?

Vaughan limits street parking to three hours between 6 a.m. and 6 p.m., and does not allow it from 2 a.m. to 6 a.m. Stopping while loading or unloading is not counted as parking under the City's by-law, but we still plan the day around your driveway where we can.

Do you move into condos at the Vaughan Metropolitan Centre?

Yes. We send a certificate of insurance to your building at no charge, and book the elevator or loading dock where your quote includes it. Where it does not, we tell you exactly what to book and for which hours.

Moving in Vaughan: what we plan for

Condo buildings

Most new towers ask for an elevator or loading dock booking, a deposit and a certificate of insurance before move day, and many allow moves only in set hours. We send the certificate at no charge and book the dock where your quote says so.

Heritage villages

Vaughan has four heritage conservation districts: Kleinburg-Nashville with 200 properties, Maple with 265, Thornhill with 84, and Woodbridge. Older houses tend to have narrow doors and steep stairs, so we measure and protect before anything is lifted.

Parking and timing

Street parking is limited to three hours between 6 a.m. and 6 p.m., and not allowed from 2 a.m. to 6 a.m. Parts of King-Vaughan Road and Teston Road carry weight limits all year, so we size the vehicle to the route and plan where it will stand for the whole day.
